About

Family-Run Business

Welcome to Headland Escape, our family-run business in Pembrokeshire. Our glamping retreat is nestled on picturesque land with a rich history and a deep family connection. Our story begins just after the Second World War. Jonathan’s grandparents (Robert Henry Farmer Boot and Violet Watson Boot) bought Home Farm and worked the land with dedication and care. Two generations later, Jonathan and his wife Wendy continued that tradition. They purchased a portion of the land off Jonathans mother and father (Morran and Marlene Boot) and made it their own.

Fast Forward to 2019…

Their son Henry married Jessica in a beautiful ceremony held on the family land, overlooking the coast. Inspired by the love and memories created that day, the family wanted to share the magic with others. During the winter of 2019, Headland Escape was established.

Launching a new venture just before a global pandemic wasn’t ideal timing! But the site’s thoughtfully designed private facilities, including individual toilets and showers, ensured compliance with government guidelines. To everyone’s delight, Headland Escape quickly became a haven for guests seeking a tranquil, self-contained getaway.

Going from Strength to Strength…

Since those early days, our glamping site has flourished. It has grown to include five hand-crafted yurts and three bespoke shepherd huts. Alongside this growth, Henry and Jessica (as well as Chester the dog) have welcomed two beautiful daughters, Erin and Olivia, making the family bond at Headland Escape even stronger.

At Headland Escape, we take pride in our family-run business. We offer a unique blend of history, heart, and hospitality, inviting you to create your own unforgettable memories in this special place.
